A Norwegian court has sentenced a woman to nine months in jail for raping a man, the first such conviction in the Scandinavian country that prides itself for its egalitarianism

More here.

no2fembots first wife was Norwegian.

Does this fact have any bearing on the topic at hand?  No!

How much does anyone want to bet that this story will recieve very little media attention in North America?

Will NOW and SOW make press releases?  What would they say?

This exact situation happened to me when I was about 17.   I wouldn't consider it rape though, sexual assault yes - but a large part of that is only because I wasn't attracted to the girl.

I guess if I had woken up and been attracted to her I would have at least been able to give my consent (though somewhat after the fact).

"This is a very harsh sentence," the woman's lawyer, Per Magne Kristiansen, told the Norwegian news agency NTB.

Oh, just imagine what would the very same lawyer would say if she woke up and found out the guy is humping her, and then he was sentenced to 9 months in jail!!

- 99% of readers that read this article will agree that it's not the same thing as rape because the guy was obviously enjoying it and its just all good fun and games
- 99.9% won't notice the hypocracy in the above statement, nor the fact that there is no technical possibility to either prove or disprove that statement for ANY rape case that doesn't involve other kinds of physical violence

Why can't women understand that if we are not attracted to them then sex really is out of the question?

I guess I am in that 1%.

Gentleman is a man who consciously serves women. I prefer the golden rule.

Behind every great man, is a
parasite.

Women who say men won't commit, usually aren't worth committing to.

Norway has long traditions of equality -- 40 percent of the cabinet of Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik, for instance, are women.

Never forget the lines that AP, Reuters, and other big media companies put in the end, as feminism must always have the last word. Still, I find it interesteing how the article compares the first woman rapist with "equality" in Norway...
