Originally passed in 1972, Title IX was a law saying that there should be equal opportunity for men and women in sports and education. 30 years later, schools are getting rid of men's athletics, costing gifted athletes their scholarships and their lives just to please the feminists. Basically, they dont have money to support teams of both sexes so they get rid of the male teams.
Uh no. Title IX doesn't say anything at all about athletics. Title IX requires equal opportunity for men and women in "educational programs." Title IX requires equality in "women's studies" and men's studies. Title IX requires equal opportunity in the Womens' Center and the Men's Center on campuses. Title IX requires equal scholorships for men when they have special scholorships of a preponderance of scholorships given to women for EDUCATIONAL requirements. Title IX requires that the college library buy and keep as many books on men's issues as women's issues. But it DOES NOT mention athletics, the only place on colleges where men get more benefits than women.
Here's what Title IX actually says:
"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance..."
Most people think that Title IX is about sports, but that is wrong. Most people think it's about sports because colleges openly and notoriously ignore Title IX all over the campus whenever they discriminate in favor of women, which is all over the campus except in men's athletics.
It's time for men to demand that the schools start complying with Title IX in educational programs such as "women's studies," the "Women's Center," admissions, scholorships, financial aid, etc.
