Right Galt.  And here is a list from Forbes and one from a men's site:

Neither one mentions nurses.

I have worked in lots of hospitals over the years and am guessing that they are counting the number of times a patients record says "assaultive" or "combative" and then counting that as an assault.  Remember that assaultive behavior in hospital terms can simply be a 93 year old wheel chair bound woman swinging her arms in the air as you pass by or an elderly person in restraints who made a movement towards you as if to strike.  Both cases are completely safe but could be scored as assaults if my assumption is correct.

Burk was simply putting up another smoke screen and staying in character.  Hootie Rules!

I pretty sure I've found where Ms Burk got her information from.

Round 2 on this debate will be on 20/20.

Warren Farrell vs Martha Burk & Hillary Clinton

dr e

That's right Beste.  It's to be aired this Friday.

Frankly I am worried about this one.  20/20 has a history of inviting guests and telling them they are doing the show from their angle and then submarining them with an edited version that makes them look like fools.  So who do you think they will be more likely to make look foolish?  The man's side or the woman's?  Duh.  We all know that Farrell has the facts and statistics on his side, he has logic and reason but when has that ever been a match for the media driven feminist myths?  It's as rare as a snowstorm in hades.

They have a vested interest in making the program exciting and to suck people in on an emotional level.  The last thing they want is a fact driven victory of one side over the other.   Buckle your seatbelts gentleman and ladies.

I can't stand Hillary Clinton! She's a female-superiority-complex personified.  :madshake:
Please don't mention her name on this forum again. Thanks!

ou've read it... And now you can never un-read it!

Mr. Bad

My guess is that Burke was citing the most dangerous job for women, which quite telling because it doesn't even show up in the top 10 (20?) most dangerous jobs overall.
"Men in teams... got the human species from caves to palaces. When we watch men's teams at work, we pay homage to 10,000 years of male achievements; a record of vision, ingenuity and Herculean labor that feminism has been too mean-spirited to acknowledge."  Camille Paglia

Street prositution is a extremely high risk job, why isn't that on the list?

So is working for the Mafia

So is working for the Mafia

Or being a drug trafficker.

The problem is that it's a bit harder to get accurate data on working conditions etc. in those types of professions.  It's probably not quite as easy to clearly assign a cause of death - even "lead poisoning" - to an occupational or private status.  Sometimes it's even hard for juries to determine whether someone is a plumbing supplies salesman or a hitman.

I suppose the EEOC could send a 5-page questionnaire to various drug lords, street prostitutes and mafia types, or go door-to-door with a clipboard.
