This closet feminist on the website has a "modern" point of view with her description of equality, but she simultaneously has the point of view of a 19th-century Southern Belle that you periodically have to administer smelling salts to when it comes to "men's responsibilities". I'm not sure what that's all about. She seems almost panicked that men may not do everything they're responsible for in life.
What's odd is that I've seen that among a lot of feminists - they push for exact "equality" and simultaneously push even harder for men to perform their - particular to men - responsibilities.
I go back and forth about whether to classify them as oddballs - and in reality men and women have their own particular quirks and responsibilities in life, which is probably reality - or whether to think that she represents a good chunk of women today - so if women want everything equal, it's time to make it equal (bad stuff and every facet, every facet, of men's responsibilties too).
Men are already dealing with the artificial "equality" and even affirmative action on the feminists' side, so it certainly can't hurt them if men start viewing women as little men who better produce the same. I know, I think it's stupid too, but with affirmative action on the other side ... maybe it's time to end the free ride.
I'd be happy with one or the other, but not playing both sides against the middle.
