LST -you could also take the view that muscular men are strong, inspiring, and supreme to weak willed women who do nowt but give birth or whine all day, she is just a birth machine designed to continue his superior genetics.

You see how this works both ways? just because a man is fit does not make him an embodyment of supposed female superiority. i suggest you question the values that you adopted that mean you view men in this way instead of blaming other men for living as they do.

It would be like this in a patriarchal culture that values males over females.
But in our culture, it is a sign of being a "good specimen" for women.
A strong sturdy work animal that will do all the dirty work and take lots of punishment.
This isn't necessarily consciously recognized by them, it's just what they are attracted to, mostly caused by genetics probably.

Women probably have evolved to be attracted to a man that appears "strong and healthy" so that she can be sure that he can supply her with food and protect her.
It is fit for a "supporter/supported" relationship.
But in the modern world, being the "supporter" means being less valuable.

I think that true loving relationships between males and females can only exist if males and females have equal "strengths", and are equally attracted to each other.
(But this is unrealistic due to genetical differences...)

Otherwise the parasitic psychology of "taking" but not "giving" will keep persisting.

You sound like a feminist about women in porn. Both men and women like each other to look certain ways. Healthy, fit, with men it is muscular, with women it is shapely. To read into this further makes no sense. We just like good looking individuals. There is nothing wrong with that.

Making it more important than health, via starvation diets or binging and purging or steroids is bad. Enjoying looking at beauty, or living a healthy lifestyle to look good is not bad.

It really isn't any more complicated than that.

It does to me.
I can't imagine that the sight of hulking muscles can trigger the same kind of feelings that the sight of a beautiful woman can.

Else what would be the purpose of males and females looking different in the first place ??
Do you have a suggestion ? Or do you think these differences are random and have no effect on culture and psychology ?

Well, the sight of hulking muscles on say, my husband or Vin Diesel, elicits the same response in me as the sight of, say, Angelina Jolie elicits in many men here.

Beautiful men and women are attractive to look at. That is why Hollywood is full of beautiful people.

Men and women look different because women are made to look at men, and men are made to look at women, and men and women are different.

We are not disagreeing here.

Assault is it same as the avatar on MND? Nothing wrong with that one... There is a point where "muscle bound" turns ugly (usually achieved by steriod abusers), but you're not that close to it. As long as the avatar meets the host's TOS, it's really no-one else's business.

I went to the new forum and marvelled at how someone could be banned in 2 posts, but after reading the posts, I understood. "Diplomatic" or constructive criticism of the host might have worked better. Probably best to avoid using curse words in a way that seems directed at the host or other posters.
