Well, as usual, utter bullshit from a feminist.

I just got back from Pennsic War, my annual excursion into beating the hell out of my closest friends with sticks.

Anyway.  95 of all the fighters there are men.  Which means that 5% are women.  And the women there are accepted, and even embraced within the brotherhood of warriors - and when we have a 95% or better club, brotherhood is the word to use.

One caveat, though.  They take their lumps.

A couple years ago at an event called Gulf Wars - similar to Pennsic but smaller in scope - I overheard one fairly new female fighter complaining about being hit hard, and that there were no gentlemen; and she was resoundingly set upon by a lady night who said this (best of recollection) to her:

"The minute you put on the armor and picked up that sword, you ceased to be a "lady," little girl.  If you want to fight, put your helmet back on and go back in.  If you want to be a "lady" then I suggest you go put a dress on, and stand on the sidelines and wave your hanky."

That's authentic feminism, that lives up to the specious claims that feminism makes.  Had real-world feminism been more like that, there would be no SYG, MANN, MND, and the like.

As I thought... figured I'd take a peek in this morning, the reaction is predictable.

I transitioned a long while ago... and virtually everyone I know is completely accepting, even my best friend growing up, who is more man than any two of you, confident in who he is, no need to scream "I'm a tough guy," sensitive and understanding, yet with more physical strength than most men... being a mason tends to have that effect.

Most men are ok, but have a hard time understanding... women wrap their minds around it easily, and it is here the differences are most telling, and it is why you will struggle into the future unless you change your outlook. You don't have to change on my account, you are no hindrance to me. Some men have the capability of intelligence, but too often they leave it behind, in favour of gathering together and insulting anyone who happens to work for being more accepting and understanding, something this world needs more of, not less.

Thank you for reminding me such petty people do in fact exist in this world. You could not debate me with facts, you had to resort to personal issues, nothing like coming in here and totally taking out your arguments in one brief flurry.

I have seen no evidence of anyone treating you poorly and people here have met your arguments with facts and logic.  All that I have seen have been the men and women of this forum giving you thoughtful responses to typically silly feminist sorts of ideas. Not like your attack above likening the people here to 13 year olds.  It seems to me a convenient device to feign victimhood at the hands of the "nasty mongrels" of this forum to justify a tearful exit.  Anyone reading these threads will easily see the silliness in a claim such as that.  Yesterday I think it was you who said that you had been treated well.  Differing opinions and sarcasm are allowed here.  As I remember you had your share of both.  Perhaps your typical departures require this sort of thing.  Please don't blame us for that.

It's not that hard, "natalie" (BTW, do you do that trendy and pseudo-intellectual lowercase to be "unique," just like all your friends?) - you want to be thought as equal - stop hitting from the red tees, and especially stop doing it and claiming that your accomplishments are as good as men who don't.  This includes affirmative action, set asides, special rights and programs, and all manner of artificial prop that has fostered this illusion of accomplishment

Furthermore, go out and meet modern girls, go on a dating site and study a load of profiles, go onto AOL and study the profiles. Most of the females are far less individualistic in their outlook and their interests in life. In fact, my friend was recently going through a dating site and he commented to me that all the women seem to be like clones these days, virtually all of them list their interests as "Shopping, clubbing and socialising". Whilst there are SOME women who are interested in unusual subjects, by far the majority of people with more individualistic outlooks and interests are men.

Don't tell: the patriarchy forced them to be like it.
