I think that when women begin to turn that question inward, they will make progress. As soon as they begin to find, question, and correct their own culpability in the glass ceiling, they will find success.

They blame everyone else but themselves for their lack, demand and wait for other people to fix their problems, and then bitch about how they don't have any power.

The dark side of chivalry is chauvenism.

It's time for men to throw the wrench back at women with a curt, "Fix it yourself, bitch." Or, perhaps more gently, to hand them the wrench, a user's guide, and say, "Have at it, princess."

I always argue that Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister here not because she was a woman to correct any inequality but because she had the right policies.  In other words she did the job. Granted half the country hated her but not because she was a woman but because she was mean.

Barring physical violence or very unfortunate events (things like car accidents and birth defects), and certainly in the business world, most people are exactly where they deserve to be. They're the one settling for it, aren't they?

I sided with Larry Summers. Either biologically or through social upbringing (perhaps because they are treated like princesses at all stages of life), women don't seem to be up to the task of making as much money as men or attaining positions of prestige and power.

Of course, when I say this, 90% of women will regail me and call me an asshole, as though I'm the very source of their problem. Obviously, they don't respond well to challenges and need to have every opportunity in life spoon-fed to them. As such, men will continue to look down on them.

Generally speaking, in the workplace, people are exactly where they have decided to be and are being paid exactly what they have decided to allow someone else to pay them for their services.
