Hi folks,

i've been battling with the same feminist on soc.men for a few days now.

i'm not asking for help or assistance etc. but i would like some of you to read the thread and see how she has twisted what was really said into what she wants people to believe was said.

i'm pretty disguested in the way she has abused honesty and told half truths, added statements together to read entirely differently, taking quotes out of context and generally using all in her reach to insult and berate.

the thread can be found here

http://groups.google.com/group/soc.men/browse_thread/thread/2e38f880716b5ed/dda60a8bb5436713?q=reading+woman+commits&hl=en&

ps - i'm "mathewsantifeminism" and the feminist is "hyerdahl"

there are many pages of this, much of which is quotes from the previous post.
ny man living in this feminized world has got to be tough to tolerate it.

Don't waste your time on feminists. They are a lost cause.

Bring your view point to masses of ordinary people, who can actually be reasoned with.

You mean you can't convert them to your way of thinking, and heaven forbid equality ever happen in this PATRIARCHAL societry. Yes I said the dreaded "P" word.

Funny how matriarchy is often used here

perhaps i'm going fully blind, but i don't see the word matriarchy anywhere on this thread.

it's not matter of conversion, though. it's a matter of feminists being willing to listen and understand a different point of view. anytime someone is critical of feminism, the person risks being attacked for it. any attempt to address the lack of basic equality in feminism is chalked up as "misogyny," or they do what you're doing and suggest that there is some nefarious "conversion" at play.

If I posted the question "why are men falsely convicted of sex crimes under patriarchy" on a feminist board, how long would it take them to ban me?

By that argument, a rich man isn't better situated in the world because sometimes poor people try to take his money away from him.

That analogy is all the better the more I think about it.  A rich guy can manipulate some people with his money.  A rich guy doesn't have to work if he doesn't want (his money buys him that freedom).

A woman can manipulate with sex.  A woman doesn't have to work if she doesn't want if she gets a working sucker (her sex buys her that freedom).

Besides, you haven't said the exact way in which you want to lower yourself to equality with men.  Do you want to be part of the group that works and earns more *because they have to*?  Trained from birth to be that way and cater to the whims of the princess?  What exactly do you want for "equality"?  Equality of responsibility?

Not long I am afraid.  Your arguments would be too much for them to handle.

You have produced a quite brilliant site, Karl. I link to it myself.

The best thing you can do is promote it to people who may be open to change. I am currently getting 600 visitors a month and this is rising all the time.

If I want to do some one to one peusuasion I do it face to fac but only where there is a real possibility of life change.

You then have the raw material for a men's group. Unfortunately dueling with feminists will never give you either the reach or the depth of these two activities.

By the way- is there anyone out there who wishes to link to me?

After taking advice from someone on this site I started a forum
similar to this for people in the U.K.
At the moment I have only one registered user as it is fairly new
and I am a newbie at all this ..I dont know how to link ect..
After looking at my forum would you kindly consider linking it to yours
as I would like to feel I am doing something
                       Regards

Possible note of interest:  on the Feminism Today board at iVillage, lots of men have dropped by and asked that question, and they've never been banned.  In the year and a half I've posted there, I think only one poster was banned (and I don't know if he actually *was;* he may just have quit posting--the only reason I think he may have been banned was his extraordinary fondness for personal attacks).  There are a fair amount of antifeminist men who predated my arrival and still post there now, and rape statistics are one of their favorite topics.

Maybe because it's one of the feminists favorite topics as well.  And the most lied about ta'boot!

If I see the sky is blue, and someone wants to tell me it's green backed up with false statistics and misinformation, I WILL ARGUE the point.

;) That's fine, you should come visit Feminism Today at iVillage and debate with us.  We welcome the chance to actually *debate,* it gets pretty slow when no antifeminists are visiting, just one big love fest.   :heartbeat:

But seriously, banning is extremely rare there--as I said, I don't know if it's *ever* happened since I've been on--not sure if the guy just quit posting or got booted.
