Before I go through all nine pages, can someone end the suspense and tell me if Ikanneag ever ACTUALLY answered the question?

She asked for clarification, got it, and then ran off in a different direction without answering first.

And I don't see answers forthcoming in what I'm reading.  So just give me the short version, eh?

you should know better than to even ask.

I provided two posts answering the question.  I will provide more in future.  Gimme time, though.  I recieve at least a zillion times more questions and requests for replies than anybody else on here.  ;)

I'd like to know why the picture that Galt posted was somehow ok.

My my my how convenient to simply ignore certain posters.  Er, the ones that are making you look pretty silly.  I thought you were an engineer lkanneg?  I don't know too many engineers who would deflect and ignore good points in an argument like that.  Of course I don't know any feminist engineers.  Maybe they are different?

Amber bamber was an engineer.  But she wsn't a feminist though.

Yah, and you never answered my question of 'if you're hot or not'.

Hey, does anyone else like that song by the Pussycat Dolls? Don't cha.

"Don't cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me?
Don't cha wish your girlfriend was raw like me?

Don't cha?"

A thousand times more sexy than the spice girls and much more man friendly.  'So far' anyways.

From my perspective it seems like she answered the ones she wanted and ignored the rest or said "Oh, I need to look into that" and never responded after that.

It wasn't OK. The pictures-two of them, one of a boy beaten up with a strip of hair shaved, and one with a woman against a wall with a toilet plunger on her face. (looking mighty clean at least)

I am guessing Galt wanted to see Ikanneg respond to the second only so he could cry foul for the first. I thought both were really bad. I also thought they were a blatent attempt at a reaction, so I said nothing.

The boy wasn't beaten up.  Go back and look at page 6.  He had an unfortunate shaving stripe in his head and was on the verge of tears.

Since I've had two complaints now from our female co-posters, I have replaced the scantily clad woman with a cute baby picture (unfortunately also with the theme of "Owned!").

I fully realize that our female co-posters may feel uncomfortable - or even threatened - by pictures like that, so I have not only replaced it, I have subjected myself to disciplinary action.

I will contribute $10 to a worthy woman's charity.
I will contribute $10 to an organization dedicated to making sure that no woman - anywhere - ever has to be subjected to uncomfortable notions again.  A possibility is the "Mute Men" fund, but I may contribute to others.
I will undergo a half-hour of sensitivity training (possibly on the Internet).

You are welcome to monitor my compliance with the Internet Sexual Harassment Unit of Interpol or, if you prefer, you can get in touch with NYMOM who will give you the appropriate phone numbers to the operatives at Google who monitor this kind of thing.

Once again, please - please - remember that I need my self-employed job.  I don't want to have to fire myself due to complaints from female co-posters.  Thank you for your attention.

Piss off Galt. A picture will elicite responces, and we have every right to react to them. I did not ask for special treatment, or ask that it be taken down. I am well within my right to think it is a horrible picture, and to state that fact.

If there was a man almost naked with a toilet plunger on his face you would not really like it either. But unless you expected some action, you have every right to feel that way and make it known.

I thought the boy looked like he had a black eye as well as a shaved strip.

Yes ma'am, whatever you say ma'am.  Would you like a cool lemonade?

At least I friggin' work for my money.

Galt

No, no, no, ain't gonna be bossed around by some empowered housewife.  Not in the schedule.

:?:  :?  :madamea: I see the chicken farm co-manager's next blog recipe coming up... One rolled in grain, slightly flamed MRA thrown into a chicken coop.  With BQ supervising the pecking while homeschooling her sons.  :D

Then she'll share her favorite chicken recipe specialty...

I wonder if I took the madamea smiley and put hair on it, if Dr. E would use it? :D     She needs hair.

I'll settle down.

I was just on vacation and had to endure Dr. so-and-so (who I liked, and who was funny) and his bitch wife who had never done anything in life besides snagging Dr. so-and-so, who paid for everything.

I had to shut my mouth with her feminist "everything has to be equal" sayings, when I knew full well she couldn't pay for this vacation in a million years with her dopey background - without marrying the doctor.

And the punch line is ... I drank with him in the Sansibar bar without his wife, and he fully let loose what a ball-and-chain she really is.  But he'll never get away from her with the current divorce laws, so he just accepts it.  I honestly pity him.

Yeah, I know, I don't really want to be a dink here.

I recently watched a movie from the late 60s on TV.  A woman came on board a submarine with her dress, gloves and everthing else.  The Captain assembled all the men, and declared that she was to be treated like anyone else on board.  One of the men laughed, or grunted, and he was dressed down.  The order was then given for a man to take her gloves, and another man to escort her to her quarters (the men had 6-bed bunks, by the way, and the beds were assigned to 3 people over 3 different shifts ...).

I almost think that the movie was meant to make fun of this ... but it wasn't.

That's the paradigm today: Women are exactly equal, but they also have to be treated like ladies.  No one would give any respect to the new guy, who has to clean out the bilge.  It all gets a bit unreal with these double standards.
