And also keep in mind - when dealing with TV and movies, editing and directing have a huge impact on the story, mood, and message.
I bet a decent director/producer/editor could take a psycho rapist serial killer and put together a sympathetic story that would have you rooting for the monster.
I am always amazed (even after the thousandth time) that some people have such a viewpoint that believes that women are utterly helpless and all men are monsters. These people hold this viewpoint for life, even though their every day experience tells them that men are the one's who we count on to feed us, protect us, rescue us, build our houses, stand up for the underdog, invent medical treatments, are the one's we go to solve problems, and push us to be the best that we can be.
