I always thought TB made the effort to present her viewpoint with intelligent supporting comments.  I haven't always agreed 100%, but at times I have learned from TB's comments.  I suspect TB of being just another intellectual type prusuing her curiousity.

There are very few pictures...  Somewhere early on, there were some pictures of asian phallic shrines (stone statues) and sex toys..  I have trouble seeing when I'm in there...  At first I couldn't figure out why, since my website and blog are also dark.  But I use a lot more bright graphics and lettering for "night lights" than she does, so they appear brighter (to me anyway).

I mention her site at my forum, but don't actually link.  I figure people that really want to go can type into the URL bar - or Google.  My TOS says I can have "adult talk," but not actually link to porn.

I have been plugging her forum in other more sexually liberated arenas.  I don't think she has reached her "true" constituency yet.  I think a lot of folks just aren't prepared for the highly philosophical/intellectual threads that Typhon likes to start.

I think Roy is being satirical here...  But in case he isn't, his paranoia may be misplaced.  TestSubject, who was still a mainstay of several other forums/sites even after his falling out of grace with Dr. E, has recently dropped off the net.  His blog disappeared.  Wonder what that is all about...  It's the ones who suddenly disappear that you have to wonder about.

The thread title "The Penis Shrine" is still there.  Ironically, it is not in the locked porn area.  It would seem like one online poker ad spammer found her.  Maybe the same one that Gonzman IP banned at MND yesterday.

Btw, it's only "commercial profiteering" if she starts charging $.  I didn't see any sex toys, porn, or pets for sale there.

Seriously, I have no love loss of gays and lesbians. I think their selfishness in demanding what they want with no respect for others and forcing acceptance on everyone else through political correctness has made them despised. You can't force people to be your friend and overlook your decisions. But I am routinely shocked at how much gay men are portrayed as laughing stock sambos. The fab five on Queer Eye wouldn't get ratings unless they didn't act all limp wristed and "queer". BTW, I think blacksploitation is still alive and well. At least if you can take current hollywood fare as any clue. The majority of black roles seem to be either a nasty badass cop or a craven, big-mouthed gang-banger.

No offense meant to the almighty Roy (or other men at SYG).  Of course you are as erectily  & intellectually lubricated a clan as any you could find!   But, I understood Typhon's forum to also be about more openly exploring GLBT issues.  That is why I think TB will not reach her true constituency if she only draws from here.

TB, I think the way phpBB works in many domains is that once you choose to have a banner, the banner is matched to one specific board style.  Depending on who is hosting you, that may be where users lose the element of board style choices.

In the support area where I'm hosted, I recently asked if there were a banner size/color that would work well on most of the boards.  That was when I was told that if one chooses the banner route, they must choose one style and match the banner to the style.  It might help readability though if you tried a brighter shade of blue text against the pitch black background.  Maybe the bright shade of blue from the banner or the very lightest shade of aqua.
