No complaints eh? There's one on the page where they are selling the item. Have a look at the reviews section (Scroll down) http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/search.do?productCode=KNIBLO

Anyway my feelings on the matter are, that regardless if the item represents a man or not I have a deep uneasiness about it. I guess it's the shock factor.

You've got to be a bit perverted to want to own one or find it amusing in some way.

Thanks for the url Julian - I was a little surprised at the price of the items (almost £60 sterling each!) and that they are currently out of stock!
What is interesting is that the blocks are selling so well and how so many womens sense of humour is sparked at the thought of extreme violence towards men. Perhaps we should remember this (along with the 'boys are stupid etc' T-Shirts) the next time some feminist whines about a 'sexist' advertisement!
I also left my own review for what it's worth.

Items like this knifeblock and the 'Boys are Stupid' shirts are a sign of the times. Right now people are saying "they're just harmless fun", and dismissing the complaints, but the time will come when they won't seem quite as 'funny' as they do now.

In my lifetime all manner of 'isms' have become taboo and eventually so will misandry. The fact that our complaints are currently being ignored will add more fuel to the fire...

Nice comment from a particularly irate customer...
Why is this sexist c**p allowed? How about a female figure being stabbed, and the legend "All women are bitches?" How would that be taken? You would not have the guts to sell it! You cowardly scum that sell this make me sick!

They're delighting in male anger it seems.  And they're hoping other people will delight in witnessing male anger too.

This adjudication means nothing. I have been in touch with A.S.A who made this adjudication,  as far as I can ascertain, they are a self regulatory body that help the advertising industry to stay in business.
Their press officer Mat Wilson is amiable, but unhelpful and evasive.
Their e/mails lead me to believe that they all sit around and have a good laugh at the expense of the General public whilst supporting the people who make up the advertising community. Every now and again they make a decision to make them look as if they are doing something, but if you look at their website these cases are pathetic.
So it is onward and upward the fight goes on, where I dont know !

Hmmmm now they are "exclusively" selling the following:

A trend me thinketh?

Actually, As I had said before, I think all the complaints are just fueling their market.

Some good ideas there.
How about a set of three mugs beginning:
I'm in a mid life crisis, I could;
(a) Preserve you as a much loved vintage model.
(b) Trade you in for a new model.
(c) Consign you to the scrap heap as you have no more value.

All three choices are disgusting, since real human beings are represented as nothing more than commodities. But that's the way the feminists play it. We really don't want to go down that road.

But if a few dysfunctional cranks do go that way, we're not responsible. We don't speak for all men. We hate that stuff. It's not our responsibility.

But we will root out and exterminate all those misogynists as soon as we finish our beers.

It is just the opposite..it is a lack of opposition to these products that has given permission to these companies to promote anti-male propaganda.
What next another chystal nacht ?

Went to take a quick look about some love-sick guy who cut off his wang, and look at what they found to illustrate the story: http://www.fox6.com/entertainment/weird_news/story.aspx?content_id=AA38DD39-66CE-4275-90EA-9A4E8C954348&rss=weird
Explaining misandry to a feminist is like explaining "wet" to a fish.

Excellent point! Rob Layton

It is not just this knife-block, the lack of opposition is the reason of existence of EVERY anti-male / male-bashing issue we are talking about here
That is exactly the main cause! We should not blame other things

Same thing with women, women used to get made fun of and discriminated in many fields (I am talking about several decades ago). Then came feminism and now you hardly see this anymore and it is strongly fought.
Only because there was and is enough opposition! This is exactly the main reason why the men's movement is not very much effective
t is time men start behaving like men again and stand up for their rights, instead of behaving like conformist push-overs.
