The biggest age gap that I know is 11 years. I'm sure it exists, but I haven't observed it in any great numbers

My second husband was 15 years younger than I.   AND he was a Brit to boot.  No wonder the marriage failed.   :D

Just kidding; I love the British.  Especially the men.

But he was British.  And 15 years younger.

Oh, dear.  I do apologize for not being specific enough in my description of male and female drones, ie, unemployed and jobless men and women.  I was referring to those who are unemployed by choice.  Those who are not unemployed by choice, will be again employed as soon as the circumstances causing their unemployment cease; it's an entirely different mindset than that of those who choose to be unemployed, who infinitely preferto batten onto somebody who *is* employed.  But I AM sorry for not specifying what type of unemployed person to whom I was referring!

T is unemployed, but I've never seen anyone work as hard.  He works even more hours than I do; the difference being his work is wearying because it's so gruelling intellectually, and mine is tiring because it's very physical and I always have to be "on".  But rocket science, it ain't.

I would rather do what I do, because I couldn't take 16 hours a day of programming PLUS he's working on something now which is so amazing it blew me away.  But it's painstaking and time consuming.  And I believe his business will take off eventually.

I'll go along with that, too.
vil, like misery, is Protean, and never greater than when committed in the name of 'right'. To commit evil when they are convinced they are doing 'good', is one of the greatest of pleasures known to a feminist.

I feel pretty
Oh so pretty
I feel pretty and witty and gay
And I pity
Any girl who isn't me today

I feel charming
Oh so charming
It's alarming how charming I feel
And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I'm real

See the pretty girl in that mirror there?
Who can that attractive girl be?
Such a pretty face
Such a pretty dress
Such a pretty smile
Such a pretty me!

I feel stunning
And entrancing
Feel like running
And dancing for joy
For I'm loved
By a pretty wonderful boy

I feel pretty
Oh so pretty
That the city should give me its key
A committee
Should be organized to honor me

I feel dizzy
I feel sunny
I feel fizzy and funny and fine
And so pretty
Miss America can just resign See the pretty girl in that mirror there
Who can that attractive girl be?
Such a pretty face
Such a pretty dress
Such a pretty smile
Such a pretty me!

I feel stunning
And entrancing
Feel like running and dancing for joy
For I'm loved
By a pretty wonderful boy

Make-up *does* do something for women. It isn't a lost cause that women just engage in at the vain hope to become *as* attractive as men.

Am I reading this correctly?

I probably am.

Edited to add:

OK, so I'll stop wasting my money in a vain attempt to look as good as Marty Feldman.....

What a load of bullshit.

Mary... the last line was in reference to Ilk's assertion that women wear makeup to look *as* good as men.

Not my own original thought.

I'm actually hilarious when I'm vomiting.  But usually not because of something I said.

Unfortunately many, many women are quite specific. Unemployed male=bludger="drone".
I have never judged a woman on her employment status. I do not to judge them on physical "attractiveness". If I spend the night with somebody it's because we both want that for our own self as well as the other. It's because I know I'll be able to talk to that person over breakfast and maybe beyond. It'll be so we both have someone to hold in the dark even if only for one night. It certainly wont be because she's a CEO or because she looks like Julie Christie.
In 95% of things 100% of people are alike. It's the other 5%, the bits that are different, that make us interesting. It's also the key to our existence, and future, as a species.
