Titled "Things a Man Should Know: About Fatherhood" Happy fathers day, your just a wallet to your kids.

Quote
1. Don't worry, your dad didn't know what he was doing, either.

7. Your child, at birth, already has a deeply complicated relationship with his mother, and, for the first year, you are only a curiosity.

For a couple of years after that, an amusement-park ride.

Then, a referee.

And finally, a bank.

Life, Liberty, & Pursuit of Happiness are fundamental rights for all (including males), & not contingent on gender feminist approval or denial. Consider my "Independence" from all tyrannical gender feminist ideology "Declared" - Here & Now!

Daymar

Yeah, I've been noticing the last couple years that Father's day cards aren't that nice either.

Here's only a couple that I noticed:

front-(wife saying) honey, I see you've taught the children everything you know.
back-don't worry, I've already punished them.

front-you did a good job dad
back-you were able to find a women that could put up with you.

There were a bunch of others I noticed. Actually, about 95% of the humorous cards were like that. And these insulting cards are for Fathers day...? It seems like these cards would be more suited to one of those "roasts" or whatever where Jews will get together and try to insult each other the best.

I've only started noticing this the last 2 years, is this something new?

Factory

No, not new.  My daughters make thier own cards for me these days, ever since the day they went out to buy me a card, and 4 card shops and 3 hours later they couldn't find anything that wasn't "mean".

Seems like things haven't changed much in that dept.

I wonder how many moms would put up with that shit.....

alien

We are more sensitive to these types of jibes now because of the way society has devalued the role of fathers. If it wasn't for the feminists and their portrayal of fathers, those cards would be funny.

Factory

I disagree...if they make a 7 and 10 year old girl cry because they couldn't find anything "nice", then I'd say it's more than just perception.

It's pervasive, and feminist-inspired, sure....but it's real.

Point taken, factory. I agree with you.

Misandry is widespread, readily accepted and quite often unchallenged.

If I am watching a TV commercial and see a woman kick a man in the jewels or belt him around the head, I will most definitely complain, either by email to the ABA (Australian Broadcasting Commission) or directly to the product provider, stating that this sort of depiction is advocating violence against men.

I don't want censorship because that takes us down a path of no return. Let men (and a few good women) use market forces to persuade providers of goods and services that depicting men as subhuman is not economically viable.

Yeesh. Thats something you might give to your parents anniversary or something but a father's day card? Most cards these days are pretty bad.
