The Army openly encouraged participating in April’s “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes” events in 2014, but now it appears as though ROTC candidates at ASU were faced with a volunteer event that became mandatory.

Here's what I don't understand:  Are the orders to participate not political in nature, and thus illegal?  Would participation constitute a political statement, thus violate the UCMJ ?

How many college girls actually wear high heeled shoes? They wear whatever they feel like wearing, and most of them haven't worn heels since their high school prom.
